Emiliano Schobert was born in Buenos Aires in 1974.
He studied a degree in professional cooking in Cordoba.
He worked as an executive chef in various restaurants in Cordoba and Bariloche.
Since 2007, together with his wife Lucía De Biaggio, he has run El Obrador School of Culinary Arts in Bariloche, in the north of Argentinian Patagonia. This undertaking is devoted to gastronomic education and entertainment.  
There he also lectures to first year students doing the professional cooking degree.
He also works as a lecturer in Gastronomy at Río Negro National University.
At El Obrador, Emiliano declaims the culinary culture of Patagonia in his cooking through the use of the most characteristic products from the region.
One of the primary objectives in his teaching is to generate a feeling of belonging and to establish a responsible connection to the land.
Schobert has participated in cooking competitions for over ten years.
This pursuit fosters the discipline of work, self-improvement and the search for professional excellence.
In addition, it trains him to think creatively and effectively solve the challenges in front of him.
In 2015, he represented Argentina in the Bocuse d'Or World Cooking Championships, where he finished fifteenth.
Prior to this competition, Schobert won first prize at both the Azteca Great Latin American Culinary Competition in Mexico City and the Bocuse d'Or national pre-selection in Buenos Aires.
In his free time, Emiliano Schobert likes to go fly fishing - catch and release - on the rivers and lakes in and around Bariloche.
