Jozef Masarovic was born on 11th July 1982 in small Slovakian town called Malacky. At fifteen, he went to study the Hotel academy. He graduated and started to work for Swiss cruise which traveled around the Europe. In nine years of hard work on cruise he build himself from starting his career as a chef de partie to the head chef. While working he also got a chance to study Culinary team school in Amsterdam. The school lasted three years and was supported by the company he worked for. After such a long time away he decided to get a little break and stayed 3 months at home with his friends and family. However he was still very young and ambitious, therefore his next plan was to leave again but this time to Dublin in Ireland. During that time he took over the positions of Sous chef as first and later again succeeded to the head chef position in of the busy Dublin’s restaurants.  The experience from abroad were fantastic lesson, however he always dreamed to be back home and share his experience in Slovakia. His first job was in Red monkey group for which he works till now. As the head chef he showed his skills in the most popular bar & restaurant at this time called Paparazzi. All together he stayed there two and half years till the Paparazzi closed. Then he started the position of Executive head chef for the Ufo and catering chef mainly based out of the restaurant. That changed as after the while and now he is based in the Ufo every single day sharing his passion with the kitchen staff. Being awarded as one of the Top Trend 20 chefs in Slovakia and also be part of one of the three the best restaurants in Slovakia.

He yearly attends the biggest food festival in Slovakia Gurman fest and time to time shares his recipes in TV.
