Paul Wedgwood is one of Scotland’s leading chefs and restaurateurs. Since opening his eponymous restaurant on Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile in 2008 Paul has established himself as a prominent figure in Scotland’s food scene as well as creating an award winning and much loved restaurant.

Accolades for Paul and his restaurant have been consistently high since he emerged on the scene. Most recently the restaurant was voted Restaurant of the Year in the Outside London category at the Food & Travel Reader Awards, Paul was voted Hospitality Hero for the Edinburgh region by VisitScotland’s prestigious Thistle Awards, whilst the restaurant was named one of the five best in Edinburgh (a city which boasts the most Michelin stars in the UK outside of London) in the revered Sunday Times Top 100 Best Restaurants list. 

What sets Paul apart from his contemporaries is his enthusiasm to communicate his passion for food and his outstanding ability to impart his knowledge to others: This year alone he has appeared regularly on television (STV), at The Edinburgh Restaurant and Science Festivals, in schools and has represented his city and country abroad in Florence and South America – always taking a team member with him for the experience.  He is also Head Chef of the annual Celtic Festival in Barbados where he co-owns a series of healthy cafes under the Relish brand.
