She has had a lengthy and well-rounded career in the field of gastronomy both nationally and internationally.

 

Growing up on the South coast of Ireland, Roberta Zaugg-O’Brian developed a passion for food and cooking at an early age.  After graduating from hotel management school in Ireland, Roberta followed her dream of becoming a professional chef. She trained and worked in several renowned establishments, including: Fischerzunft Schaffhausen (Star Chef André Jeger 1 Star Guide Michelin, 19 Points GaultMillau), At Fischerzunft she also met Andy Zaugg and from then on the two work hand in hand. In 1992 they reopened the restaurant Zum Alten Stephan at Solothurn and transformed it into a regional fine dining-hotspot with 1 Star Guide Michelin and 17 Point GaultMillau. In 2018 Roberta and Andy launched the brand Andy Zaugg Sternekoch and focused on catering. The two also spread their culinary knowledge and passion as trainers for gourmet cooking. They make fine dining dishes accessible for passionate at home cooks and reveal easy-to-master techniques.
