Its strange to receive a call from the other side of the Atlantic from the representative of a brand you are used to using every day, and for them to ask you to be an Ambassador for that brand in your country. My relationship with Bergner was reinforced in just this curious way.

A renowned culinary consultant, to date Chef Rolando has opened or refurbished 38 restaurants across Central America, Panama, Columbia and Spain.

Chef Rolando has also dedicated a significant portion of his professional life to sharing knowledge with future generations of cooks from around the world. He has been chef-lecturer at universities in Panama, Peru, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, among others. 

Winner of First Prize at the International Haute Cuisine Congress - CIAC 2010, where he competed against fellow chefs from 18 countries across America and Europe, preparing Indian-Panamanian fusion cuisine.  Since then, he has been captain and coach to students in various local and international culinary competitions.

His culinary specialities are of the oriental ethnic variety, which he has learned first hand on trips through Asia and the Middle East. He has also worked in the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Doha Hotel in Qatar.

Chef Rolando is the Panamanian President of the AGTCM (Mexican Gastronomy, Tourism and Culture Association), an active member of the Panamanian Gastronomy Club and WorldChefs (WACS), as well as being a 'Certified ServSafe Instructor & Examination Proctor' for the NRA (American National Restaurant Association).
