"Dining with the stars" at Villa Terzaghi

At the end of 2021 a series of events began at the educational restaurant of Villa Terzaghi in Robecco sul Naviglio, the headquarters of the Maestro Martino Association chaired by Chef Carlo Cracco, in which some of the most famous chef ambassadors of the Cook & Chef Institute, with which the Villa has established an important collaboration to share strategic reflections on cuisine and technological innovation, are taking part.

Villa Terzaghi is home to the cooking school and the didactic restaurant of the Associazione Maestro Martino, dedicated to the best students of Lombardy's hotel schools, selected each year according to meritocratic criteria. The students participate free of charge in a training course that brings together experiences, reflections and testimonials from professionals, companies and innovators in the sector, from which they can draw ideas for the catering industry of the future. The main objectives of the association are the promotion and qualification of the local food and wine offer. Among the projects of the Maestro Martino Association are the Embassy of Taste, the Weekend of Taste, the Panettone World Cup, the creation of the International Panettone Centre and the Polenta Academy.

 

The first opening night featured the exceptional French chef and ambassador of our foundation Éric Jambon, who proposed a Michelin-starred dinner created in collaboration with Villa Terzaghi's resident chef Federico Urbani and the school’s students.

Jambon showed the students, during the class days, the techniques and secrets of preparing the dishes on the menu that was then offered during the event. The menu consisted of some of the French chef's most emblematic dishes in an explosion of flavour and innovation.

 

Villa Terzaghi has also counted on the presence of the ambassador and magnificent Mexican chef Carlos Leal, who gave an online master class to the students of the Villa and prepared with them one of the Mexican recipes that he likes the most: duck breast in peanut sauce.</p>
