Know more about Pinta Kauce..
In 15 years, that I’ve been a part of the wine industry, making wine, exporting or importing it, holding lectures, guiding tastings and simply meeting wine enthusiasts all around the globe, I have never encountered the same two descriptions about what is “the must” for us to truly enjoy wine.
Stories slide from deep soil knowledge to basic “how do this corkscrew works”, showing us that we all have different understanding, perception and expectations of this drink, we all love so much.
However, I truly believe that to glorify or simply enjoy the product as the winemaker has imagined it, knowledge and education is a crucial thing as we cannot judge properly if we lack any facts. Starting from the right serving temperature, choice of glassware, to food pairing and the right timing (and the company) - all the details matter.
My cupboard is full of decanters and all size (and material) glasses to enrich the experience of trying a bottle of wine as any wine to be understand and enjoyed fully must be treated right. But how do you get to the “right”? Decant the young and the old wines, try the same wine in three different glasses - mix and match, and play around till you find your own balance in enjoyment.
And just for the everyday emergencies, keep a set of glasses and a bottle of Champagne in the fridge.
The rest of it, like any other impression of art, is truly individual.
