Tips to avoid wasting food

As you know, we must be responsible with the environment and, from the Cook and Chef Foundation, we want to remind you a few tips to manage and make good use of all the food you buy in your daily life. Planning is key!

Planning is key!
  • Make a weekly menu so you know exactly what you are going to consume.
  • Try to buy seasonal foods as they will be fresher, healthier and more economical.
  • Store food correctly in the refrigerator: put the oldest food in front so that it will be the first to be consumed.
  • Take advantage of leftovers, there are many dishes that can help you save.
  • Best-before date is not the same as best-before date, so do not discriminate against those foods that can still be consumed with complete peace of mind.
  • If you think you've made too much food, share with the people around you. It's always great to give your recipes a try.
