Biography

I am born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1972. 

Trained chef and waitress in Sweden finished school in -92. Have been working «all» my life in restaurants both as a chef and a waitress/management. In 2000 I meet my husband at Spitsbergen, Longyearbyen, where we worked for a few yeas before we moved to the south of Norway. In 2007 me and my husband moved to North of Norway and started in 2010 Restaurant Smak in Bodø. We decided in 2015 to sell the restaurant and move it to Tromsø where we are located today. Restaurant Smak are a small fine dining restaurant, only with 24 seats. We focus on local products, fish, meat and veggies in season. Since we are in the North the seasons are very short, so we have to pickle, ferment and dry a lot of the products to be able to serve them as long as possible. We have a big wine seller, wines for mostly Europe, but of course also some from; USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and South America. My husbands cooking is really focused on the simpleness of the ingredient. He doesn’t use a lot of spices, just salt. So the wine to pair with his food can not be too overpowering.
