Biography

Laura Decurnex, better known as Lau Malbec, is an Argentinian sommelier based in La Paz, Bolivia, since 2007.

She has spent her time since then working to spread the culture of wine through activities ranging from wine tasting to dinner-pairings and master classes.

She uses "El Blog de Lau Malbec" to talk about wine in the main, but she also looks at various matters related to her occupation.

"El Blog de Lau Malbec" has become a source for all things related to Bolivian wines as Lau has spent her time talking up the grand potential of Bolivian wines since arriving in country and coming into contact with the Bolivian wine-making culture.

She also trained as a Bartender at the La Paz Gastronomic Institute of the Americas (IGA), where she currently teaches Oenology, and Sensory Appreciation and Sensory Analysis of Foods.
